Questions About Mold & Moisture
Find answers about mold, moisture, and our treatment process.
Probiotics are beneficial microorganisms that can help support a more balanced indoor environment. BIOrganic uses a proprietary formula made with naturally derived probiotics, plant-based compounds, and mineral enzymes rather than bleach, chlorine, ammonia, or other harsh oxidizing chemicals.
Every project starts by identifying why the mold developed in the first place. We evaluate visible growth, moisture conditions, ventilation, and other contributing factors. Once the underlying conditions are addressed, treatment may include surface remediation, environmental air treatment, air scrubbing, or HVAC treatment, depending on the property.
Mold affects people differently. Exposure may cause allergic reactions or irritation of the eyes, skin, nose, throat, and lungs, and may trigger asthma symptoms in people who are sensitive to mold. BIOrganic does not diagnose medical conditions; if you have health concerns related to mold or indoor air quality, we recommend speaking with a qualified healthcare professional.
People who are sensitive to mold may experience sneezing, nasal congestion or irritation, red or irritated eyes, skin irritation, coughing, throat irritation, respiratory irritation, or asthma symptoms. Individual reactions vary, and persistent or serious symptoms should be discussed with a healthcare professional.
Mold spores naturally exist indoors and outdoors. Mold becomes a problem when they encounter moisture and suitable materials for growth. Common causes include leaks, high humidity, condensation, poor attic or crawlspace ventilation, plumbing issues, flooding, and water intrusion. Controlling moisture is key to controlling indoor mold growth.
Visible microbial growth and persistent musty odors can be signs of a mold or moisture problem. Mold can also be hidden behind walls, under flooring, in attics, crawlspaces, or around plumbing. A professional moisture and visual assessment can help identify conditions that may be contributing to microbial growth and determine whether further investigation or treatment is appropriate.
Not necessarily. When visible microbial growth and an identifiable moisture problem are present, testing may not always be necessary before treatment. BIOrganic does not perform mold testing, but if testing is appropriate or desired, we can recommend an independent environmental testing professional. Not sure what you need?
